SVP, Director of Project Management

Hybrid (Remote and Chevy Chase, MD)

$175,000 – $200,000 a year – Full-time

The SVP, Director of Project Management is responsible for the managing the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Bank and overseeing the effective execution of new project initiatives.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and direct project management operations and strategic planning to meet organizational goals
  • Establish and maintain project management policies and framework used for effective project delivery across the Bank and ensure compliance across several lines of business
  • Administer training and development for project managers reporting directly to the PMO or embedded with the lines of business
  • Respond to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinate solutions
  • Monitor and analyze project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems to propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects
  • Supervise assigned employees by organizing and monitoring work progress
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Manage performance of employees through development, coaching, and counseling

 

Required qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 12 years of directly relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • Strong understanding of the banking and financial services industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding problem-solving and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented

Manager, Policy & Regulatory Affairs

Arlington, VA

 

Founded in 2019, Lightshift Energy focuses on the development, design, financing, construction, ownership and operations of utility-scale energy storage projects in the US. Lightshift’s tailored solutions allow our customers to save money, operate the grid more reliably, and balance variations in wind and solar production.

As Manager, Policy & Regulatory Affairs, you will be responsible for supporting efforts to leverage policy opportunities, to promote energy storage and amplify Lightshift’s competitive advantage across the country. This role is the ideal growth opportunity for an ambitious self-starter looking to help fuel the growth and contribute to strategy decisions of one of the most innovative companies in the space. The ideal candidate has experience with energy legislation, regulation and organized markets and is eager to leverage policy as a key strategy for driving commercialization across both distribution and transmission systems.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote energy storage and Lightshift’s priorities across the country by identifying, tracking and engaging with regulations and legislation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to analyze existing and proposed laws and regulations and propose strategies and priorities.
  • Propose and execute short and long-term strategies to promote energy storage in key markets at both the distribution and transmission scale.
  • Participate in relevant meetings and hearings as needed.
  • Manage and engage with trade associations and other consultants.
  • Track and disseminate ISO and RTO updates and recommend engagement strategies.
  • Engage with other relevant market development tools including utility Integrated Resource Plans and market

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferably with state or federal energy regulation and legislation and/or experience with RTO/ISO policy.
  • Ability to synthesize complex energy and regulatory language and concepts.
  • Persuasive writing ability, experience with regulatory and legislative language.
  • Ability to advocate for policy that will enhance Lightshift’s position.
  • Knowledge of the electric utility industry and organized energy

Residential Solar Installer

Fairfax, VA

$25 – $35 an hour – Full-time

Convert Solar is seeking a residential Solar Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for performing residential solar site surveys, inspections and service. This role covers the Northern Virginia and Maryland operation region for our company.

Job responsibilities:

 

  • Perform site surveys to gather required information for solar installs.
  • Perform electrical and building inspections for installed sites.
  • Perform service to troubleshoot and fix issues on existing sites.

Required qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in the installation of residential solar energy systems to include roof and electrical.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the installation and application of AC/DC electrical systems.
  • Ability to test and troubleshoot using a Volt meter.
  • Knowledge of roofing systems and application of solar panel mounting systems.
  • Ability to work on ladders to access roofs.

Senior Accountant

College Park, MD

Salary Range: $88,000 – $102,000

MCEC is a not-for-profit corporate instrumentality of state-created statutorily by the Maryland General Assembly. A Board of Directors, appointed by the Governor, provides oversight for the organization.

MCEC serves as a statewide green bank with a mission to transform the energy economy in Maryland by increasing clean energy jobs, driving commercialization of technological innovations, and enabling consumer adoption of clean energy products and services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist CFO in managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger
  • Conduct month-end close, including reconciliations
  • Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
  • Assist in preparation and monitoring of agency indirect cost rate for federal agency approval in accordance with applicable regulations and GAAP.
  • Prepare management reports related to revenue and funding for program directors.
  • Review sub-awardee bills and receipts submitted by the grant team for reimbursement or draw and verify the documents are accurate and acceptable for reimbursement.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum 5-7 years related experience
  • Experience with grants management, program management, restricted & unrestricted funds as it relates to compliance and reporting of government, corporate, and foundation grants is strongly preferred, including Federal, State, and Private Grants.
  • Commitment to clean energy, climate action, and sustainable finance demonstrated through academic and/or professional history
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service mindset.
  • Excel skills required
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license meeting the requirements of Maryland law and other Maryland Clean Energy Center (MCEC) Policies.
