| Building and Grounds Maintenance Superintendent
Salary: $61,609
The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation, a nationally recognized and award-winning parks department, is seeking an Operations Manager at Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex in our Aquatics & Athletics Facilities Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing technical and administrative work related to system management and maintenance of the facility structure, mechanical systems, equipment and grounds.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing, implementing and maintaining building management systems, such as energy management, security; elevator; heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC); electrical and plumbing.
- Prioritizes and schedules repairs and maintenance. Responsible for administrative duties associated with building and facility inspection, maintenance, repair and operation. This requires research, planning, developing and coordinating activities, programs and personnel both internally and externally to accomplish objectives.
- Maintains administrative records and files. Inputs inventory into the order management tracking systems, including requests for order completion. Responsible for monitoring expenditures and preparing quarterly/annual budget projections Provides supervision, guidance and support to operations staff on employee-related matters (i.e. disciplinary training, recruitment, and selection process)
- Communicate with various cross-functional teams within assigned facility and in other divisions to properly administer various related repairs and projects Applies knowledge and performs work in accordance with building maintenance and administration; building management systems; Federal, State and local building, fire and safety codes; hazard identification and safety precaution guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years’ experience in facility operations and/or management of recreational or sports facilities with at least three years in a supervisory capacity Four (4) years’ experience with building maintenance and administration; building management systems; Federal and local building, fire, safety, codes; all relevant codes pertaining to area of proficiency including inspection,
- High School Diploma or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED).
- Completion of approved apprentice program in a building trade; such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing or four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a skilled trade. Four (4) years of progressively responsible related trades experience which includes two (2) years at the journey level and one-year experience as a lead building maintenance superintendent or Maryland first grade stationary engineer.

| Policy Analyst (Energy)
Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually
The Center for Best Practices is looking for a Policy Analyst whose primary responsibilities will be to support Governors and other state executive branch leaders on a range of issues related to a variety of energy policy issues that may include affordability, resilience, reliability, grid modernization, and deployment of new energy resources and infrastructure to meet Governors’ energy priorities. This position will report to the Program Director overseeing Energy. The team member will be expected to be full-time in Washington, DC.
Job Responsibilities:
- support Governors and other state executive branch leaders on a range of issues related to a variety of energy policy issues that may include affordability, resilience, reliability, grid modernization, and deployment of new energy resources and infrastructure to meet Governors’ energy priorities.
- Organize and facilitate state learning opportunities including virtual, in-person, and hybrid events such as workshops, seminars, meetings, and presentations;
- Facilitate panel discussions, state strategy sessions, and other events for Governors, senior state policy staff, and key stakeholders on state program and policy issues;
- Provide state technical assistance for multiple program and policy issues;
Required Qualifications:
- bachelor’s degree preferably in public policy or related field.
- One to three years working in areas of policies and programs that are within the energy field is preferred. This could include substantive knowledge and experience with energy regulation, program development and implementation, energy planning, energy infrastructure project deployment, and related topics.
- Experience working with Governors, working in federal or state agencies or in non-profit organizations is preferred. Candidates with commensurate lived experience will also be considered.

| The Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps Fellowship
Stipend-support year of service ($33,280) from August 18, 2026 to August 17, 2027
The Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps, in partnership with Maryland Corps/Service Year Option, places young adults (ages 18-25) with nonprofit organizations or government agencies for a full-time, one-year term of stipend-supported service in the environmental field. The Corps provides young professionals with experience, leadership and professional development training, mentorship, and a support network with other young environmentalists. Positions offered by Host Organizations are in the fields of environmental restoration, community engagement, environmental education, climate change, sustainable agriculture, energy conservation, and forestry.
Job Responsibilities:
- The Corps Member is expected to develop, and adhere to, a 40-hour per week workplan and schedule with their Host Organization and the Trust for the one-year term of service.
- The Corps Member is expected to participate in leadership and professional development trainings and three project days provided by the Corps program during the year of service. In-person trainings will be held at various locations throughout the State of Maryland and Corps Members will be expected to commute and/or carpool to in-person trainings.
- The Corps Member will select and complete a capstone project with the support of their Host Organization by the end of the service year.
- The Corps Member must complete at least four, ideally six to ten, peer-to-peer site visit days visiting fellow Corps Members and participating in activities at other Host Organizations throughout the service year.
Required Qualifications:
- Corps Members must be 18-25 years old at the start of the Corps program (August 18th, 2026).
- Corps Members must be a citizen of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or have documentation confirming permission to work in the United States during the year-long term of service.
- Corps Members must be available to serve full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) for the entire duration of the 12-month service term.

| Election Judge Technician
$18.37-$30.64/ Hour
The Prince George’s County Board of Elections is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a temporary Data Coordinator position, in various Divisions as an Election Judge Technician, Warehouse Technician and Drop Box Driver.
The mission of the Prince George’s County Board of Elections is to promote voter education, administer an efficient voting process, maintain an accurate voter registration database, and ensure that elected officials are elected in accordance with Federal, State, and County election laws. The Board of Elections is responsible for the supervision of elections, voter registration and record keeping, and the administration of election laws in Prince George’s County, in accordance with The Election Law Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland. The Board and the Election Administrator seek to provide voter registration to every County citizen who wants it.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares voting units and electronic pollbooks for all elections.
- Ensures that voting units and electronic pollbooks are properly charged and stored.
- Inventories and stores confidential election related materials.
- Delivers and pick-up necessary supplies from Board of Elections headquarters.
- Packs and disseminates election day supplies.
- Conducts logic and accuracy testing of all voting equipment.
- Assists with training coordination and Election Day polling place activities.
- Assists with Election Judges supply and pick-up.
- Assists with training of election day workers.
- Assists judges in troubleshooting problems and provides instructions on the electronic pollbook and voting units.
- Experiences using computers with script copy.
Required Qualifications:
- Six months of experience at a Data Entry Operator II level.

- High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate with training in basic computer systems.
- Two (2) years experience in data entry/processing.
Conditions of Employment
- Be a resident and registered voter in the State of Maryland.
- Have reliable transportation as travel to polling places and drop boxes is required.
- Meet all training and performance standards and demonstrate proficiency as required by the agency.
- Wear and use agency protective apparel and equipment in the performance of their assigned duties, if applicable.
- Successfully pass preemployment checks which may include reference checks, background investigations, and drug screenings, where applicable.
- Be willing and able to serve as an essential employee. Essential employees are expected to report during standard or non-standard hours as operations necessitate, or during emergencies. Essential employees are expected to report or remain at work when other County employees are granted Administrative Leave.
- Be willing to adhere to the nature of the service provided by this agency, all employees are considered essential during an election cycle. The election cycle begins three months prior to an election and continues one month following the election or until the election is certified. As an essential employee you WILL NOT be authorized to take leave during an election cycle. Additionally, you will be required to work specified weekends and holidays.
