DC’s Municipal Investment Fund Project Kick-off and Stakeholder Convening

DOEE, the DC Green Bank and GBCI have partnered to host a series of convenings and workshops as part of the Municipal Investment Fund. This kick-off convening on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, is open to all potential public and private stakeholders interested in assisting DC in the development of it’s MIF Public Private Partnership Plan and learning more about how to utilize the Investor Ready Energy Efficiency (IREE) certification from the GBCI’s Investor Confidence Project (ICP).

Meeting BEPS Goals in Hospitality

On Wednesday, January 21, Cindy McCabe spoke on a webinar designed for building owners, managers, and sustainability professionals, offering practical guidance on meeting Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS) requirements with confidence. Presented alongside Montgomery County DEP and Pepco/ICF, the session covered BEPS rules and compliance pathways, how to leverage utility incentives for energy upgrades, and solar options to meet renewable energy allowances.

Green Bank Team CPR/AED Training

On Tuesday, January 20, our team completed CPR/AED training with the American Red Cross and is now officially certified. This hands-on training strengthened our emergency preparedness and ensures we’re ready to respond confidently and safely when it matters most.

On Tuesday, January 13, Josh Myers and Claudia Hirsekorn joined Lewis Morgante from Montgomery County DEP for the webinar Hidden Dollars in Your Building: Smart, Affordable Strategies for Equipment Upgrades. The session explored how targeted equipment upgrades can reduce upfront costs over time while cutting emissions, with guidance on evaluating incremental costs, timing replacements strategically, and choosing options that outperform “business as usual.” It also highlighted available incentives and grants that help make high-efficiency equipment more affordable.
