This week’s update is all about making sure you and your family have access to the resources you deserve.

From scholarship opportunities for students, to upcoming career fairs, to help with utility bills and access to local food banks—this edition is designed to connect you with real support available right here in our community.

We know times can be challenging, but you’re not alone. Our goal is to make it easier for District 25 families to find opportunities, stay informed, and get the help they need.

Take a look below and share these resources with anyone who might benefit.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. PGCAC 50th Anniversary

Congratulations to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. PGCAC on a wonderful and well attended 50th Anniversary Scholarship Brunch & Fashion Show! Job well done. My wife is a member too.

Career Fair

We are in difficult times and our community has been negatively impacted by the loss of jobs. Last week, me and my team at Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition hosted a career fair at the Westphalia Community Center, Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Over 1,000 people registered for the event. I want community members to understand that you are not alone in this fight for jobs and opportunities. See coverage here

Upcoming Digital Literacy Classes

The Code for Change offers digital literacy classes ranging from computer basics to more advanced AI courses. They invite the community to check out their April classes.
