A Note From Our CEO |
Heather O’Neill CEO & President |
At United, we’ve been referring to the 2020s as the ‘deployment decade.’ We all know that implementation matters, and in 2024, our priority is to clear the runway of all the policy roadblocks standing in the way of clean energy deployment at scale. Among our priorities is getting our electric grid ready for widespread electrification of buildings and transportation, better valuing demand-side resources at scale, and reforming siting and permitting rules so we can build more transmission and clean energy projects. Advanced energy is affordable, reliable, and ready to go. Working with our member companies, we can build the solutions to power our economy with 100% clean energy. |

United’s Edson Perez noted that maintaining funding commitments is crucial to supporting grid reliability, supporting in-state jobs, and better positioning California to meet its clean energy goals. United urged the legislature to continue investing in advanced energy infrastructure that supports Californians. Continue reading the press release here.> |
