Responses to the Technology and Market Potential of Photovoltaic-Thermal (PVT) Systems in the United States Request for Information (RFI) are due December 31!
The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) issued an RFI to better understand the opportunities and challenges associated with photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) systems. PVT systems combine standard photovoltaic panels with waste heat recovery systems and can be coupled with thermal energy storage. The RFI aims to gain a better understanding of the technology and market potential in the United States.
SETO seeks feedback from industry, academia, research laboratories, state and local government agencies, and other stakeholders on four topic areas:
- Topic Area 1: Business: Opportunities and limitations for PVT systems in the U.S. market.
- Topic Area 2: Technology: Research, development, or demonstration activities that could improve performance or reduce costs.
- Topic Area 3: Regulatory: Siting and permitting requirements for PVT system installation.
- Topic Area 4: Consumer: Interest in installing a PVT system.
Download the RFI and submit responses by December 31 at 5 p.m. ET.
