Support Continues for Hurricane-Impacted Communities

On Sunday, the President traveled to Florida to visit areas impacted by Hurricane Milton. The President and Vice President have been regularly briefed about the impacts of Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene, as well as the Federal government’s ongoing support to State and local officials for their rescue and response efforts.

OPE’s Director of Strategic Engagement Will McIntee and Senior Advisor Anna Perng visited the Popcorn for the People production facility and participated in a roundtable discussion with neurodiverse employees, Eagles Autism Foundation, and Wawa. Popcorn for the People was created by Let’s Work for Good Inc. to fill a gap in the employment market where disabled individuals can have respectable job opportunities, equitable pay, proper training, and employment resources.

White House Challenge to Save Lives from Overdose

The Biden-Harris Administration announced that over 250 organizations, businesses, and stakeholders across the country have made voluntary commitments to the White House Challenge to Save Lives from Overdose. OPE partnered with the Office of National Drug Control Policy to continue the Challenge to Save Lives from Overdose—a nationwide call-to-action to equip more Americans with lifesaving medications, and amplify the voices of advocates across the country.
