Job responsibilities:

• Lead ACP’s local affairs advocacy efforts in coordination with state, federal, and policy colleagues to support aligned and effective advocacy strategies across the organization.
• Develop proactive advocacy approaches, resources, and member tools that support clean energy siting, permitting, and community engagement efforts at the local level.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with local government officials, regional organizations, philanthropy, landowners, economic development groups, planners, agricultural stakeholders, and other external partners.
• Serve as a collaborative partner and resource to coalition organizations and regional groups, helping align strategies, share information, and strengthen advocacy coordination and impact across the clean energy landscape.
• Serve as the lead staff liaison for ACP’s Local Affairs Committee, partnering with committee co-chairs to develop agendas, facilitate meetings, coordinate follow-up actions, support member engagement, and execute the annual work plan.
• Help ACP members navigate evolving local affairs challenges by sharing best practices, facilitating peer collaboration, and supporting education related to community engagement, siting, and permitting.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, natural sciences, communications, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in clean energy, public policy, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, communications, campaigns, or related fields preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of clean energy, infrastructure, environmental, or land use issues and the ability to build consensus and drive change across diverse stakeholders and perspectives.
• Experience building and supporting coalitions, partnerships, or stakeholder engagement efforts across a variety of audiences in a diplomatic fashion.
• Existing relationships with local government, philanthropy, planning, land use, economic development, agricultural, and/or aligned stakeholder networks strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage competing priorities, and develop thoughtful approaches to complex advocacy or stakeholder issues.
• Track record of using sound judgment and data-informed analysis to make timely, well-informed decisions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to develop and manage projects independently, establish priorities, solve problems proactively, and deliver against deadlines.

The programs provide energy efficiency improvements that help reduce costs to residents, increase comfort, improve health and safety in the home, support local employment, and contribute strongly towards meeting the State’s climate goals.

Job responsibilities:

• A successful candidate will be a highly skilled professional with thorough knowledge of building science, energy diagnostic and modeling methodologies, energy conservation measures, concepts and practices to assure effective retrofits in residential buildings. The type of work evaluated may include energy efficiency, electrification, and repair work for both single-family and multifamily residential buildings.
• As a part of the team, you will travel throughout the State of Maryland conducting site visits to evaluate the work performed by Energy Retrofit Service Providers and ensure compliance with program guidelines.
• Conduct site visits, including attic and crawlspace inspections, to monitor the installation of energy efficiency measures to ensure compliance with approved documents and installation consistent with best practices.
• Review energy audits, pricing and other required documentation for acceptability including scheduling and payment requests to ensure compliance with all funding source requirements.
• Provide training and technical assistance to network partners as it relates to energy modeling and completion of projects

Required qualifications:

• Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Experience: Seven years of experience evaluating the risk involved in granting single family, multifamily and commercial loans, government assistance programs, and/or construction management.

Sustainability Programs Coordinator

Salary: $25-$28/hour

Prince George’s County, MD

Peak Partners represents a government contractor supporting Prince George’s County in advancing its sustainability initiatives. We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Programs Coordinator for a 1 year on site contract, who is passionate about environmental stewardship and creating meaningful change through education, policy, and program implementation.

Working closely with the Program Manager, this individual will coordinate and manage a wide range of sustainability initiatives, including energy management, climate resilience, environmental education, and resource conservation. This role offers the opportunity to influence district-wide sustainability efforts by developing innovative programs, engaging stakeholders, and integrating sustainable practices into school operations.
