To support students living with rare diseases, the EveryLife Foundation has established the #RAREis Scholarship Fund. 32 scholarships of $5,000 each will be awarded for vocational/technical, undergraduate or graduate study for the upcoming semester.

Applicants must be residents of the United States who have been diagnosed by a physician as having any form of rare disease, regardless of treatment status. (Applicants will be asked to provide a Diagnosis Verification Form provided by a physician verifying diagnosis; undiagnosed applicants may apply with completed Diagnosis Verification Form by a physician.)

Recipients must plan to enroll in part-time* or full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical/trade school for the upcoming semester. Financial need will be considered.

*A single-class enrollment will be considered part-time, as long as it is accredited.

Opening March 2022

The AbbVie Immunology Scholarship is designed to provide financial support for exceptional students living with chronic inflammatory diseases. Scholarships of up to $15,000 each will be awarded, dependent upon type of degree pursued. Applicants must be legal residents of the U.S. and diagnosed by a healthcare professional with one of the following: ankylosing spondylitis (AS), Crohn’s disease (CD), hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), psoriasis (Ps), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), ulcerative colitis (UC), or uveitis (UV).

Qualified applicants must plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate (associate’s, bachelor’s) or graduate (master’s, MD, JD, doctorate) study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S. for the entire upcoming academic year. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence, community involvement, and ability to serve as a positive role model in the immunology community.

Opening October 2021

The Amazon Future Engineer scholarship program assists high school seniors who have completed a computer science course and plan to continue their education by attaining a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or other computer science related field of study from an accredited 4-year college or university.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and be high school seniors who are currently enrolled in or who have completed a high school or college dual degree course where computer science is the subject. Example courses include:

• International Baccalaureate Computer Science Course
• Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science A or Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science Principles
• Computer science through a college dual enrollment program
• Other High School course where only Computer Science is taught

Recipients of the award receive $10,000 at an accredited four-year college or university as well as a paid summer internship at Amazon after their freshman year of college.

AMETEK Foundation, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist residents of China or the European Union (EU) who plan to continue their education in a STEM field.

Applicants must be residents of the European Union (EU) to apply for the scholarships offered in France or the United Kingdom OR residents of China to apply for the scholarship offered in China.

All applicants must be in their final year of upper or higher secondary school or be current technical or university level students, and planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at one of the following universities for the entire 2021-2022 academic year:

• Shanghai University, Shanghai, China
• INSA, Lyon, France
• University of Leicester, Leicester, England
• Loughborough University, Leicestershire, UK

Awards ranging from $500 to $5,000 (USD) are available for students majoring in STEM fields including Science (Physics or Chemistry), Technology (Computer Software Engineer, Information Security Specialist, Information Technology, or Database Administrator), Engineering or Mathematics. Study in any medical field is not eligible.

AppZen, developer of the world’s leading AI platform for modern finance teams, has established the AppZen STEM Scholarship for Racial Justice, to support Black students pursuing undergraduate degrees in STEM fields.

Applicants must identify as Black or African American, and be high school seniors, high school graduates or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year. In addition, applicants must be planning to pursue a major in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (including medical fields).

Scholarship recipients will earn a $3,000 award for undergraduate study.

Students at eligible colleges, universities and vocational-technical schools in regions served by Axalta, a global leader in the coatings industry, can apply for renewable scholarships up to $5,000 per year from the Axalta Bright Futures Scholarship Program.

For students at four-year schools, applicants must be current college undergraduate sophomores, juniors, seniors or graduate students planning to enroll in fulltime undergraduate or graduate study next year at an eligible school, and must be pursuing a bachelor or master’s degree in Color Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Supply Chain Management.

For students at two-year schools, applicants must be high school seniors or students planning to enroll in fulltime study next year at an eligible school, and must pursuing a vocational-technical degree in auto body painting/repair or manufacturing/technician.

All applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Eligible schools are located in the Philadelphia; Detroit; Houston; Front Royal, VA and Rochester, NY areas. See the application site for a full list of schools and other specifications.

The Bennett Clayton Foundation Scholarship is open to high school seniors and college undergraduates who have been diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) and who reside in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota, or North Dakota. Applicants must plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

All applicants will be asked to provide a doctor’s statement with their OI diagnosis, as well as a personal statement describing the impact that OI has had on their life.

One undergraduate award of $3,000 will be granted; if the award recipient maintains satisfactory academic performance the award is renewable for up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever comes first. For more information, download the program brochure.

The Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc) Scholarship Program seeks to make a lasting impact in bookstore employees’ lives and former Borders Group employees’ lives by offering scholarships based on financial need, academic performance and community involvement—helping to make a college education more affordable for booksellers’ families.

Scholarships are offered for full- or part-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

Opening January 2022

The Bristol-Myers Squibb Scholarship for Cancer Survivors provides assistance to cancer survivors who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

Applicants must be cancer survivors, age 25 and under, who are high school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates. To be eligible, you must be planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Applicants will be asked to provide a personal statement, describing the impact of cancer on your life.

Up to 25 students will receive $10,000 scholarship awards. Awards are not renewable, but you may reapply each year that you meet eligibility requirements.

It was those values that helped realize a dream and it is those same values that are the core of the BURGER KING McLAMORE Foundation. Administered by the Foundation, the BURGER KING Scholars program assists employees, employees’ spouses or domestic partners, employees’ children and high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada in continuing their education.

High school seniors are invited to apply for the Burger King Scholars program if they live in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico; have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent; be active in their community through volunteering, sports, clubs and/or religious organizations; and plan to enroll full-time in 2022-23 at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico.

The Chia Family Foundation’s goal is to support Chinese-Americans in their pursuit of higher education. To do so, they have established the Chia Family Foundation Scholarship, providing awards from $5,000 to $15,000 per year.

To apply, students must be Chinese-American by direct lineal descent (based on self-identification and indication of family origins in China; if unknown, applicants will be asked to provide a reason). Applicants must also be U.S. high school graduates who have completed a minimum of one full year of college education by June 2022, and must be planning to enroll full-time in 2022-23 at a private, nonprofit four-year college ranked in U.S. News’s Top Twenty-Five National Liberal Arts Colleges. Awards are available for students pursuing a first bachelor’s degree, and are renewable up to three additional years or until a first bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Each year of eligible renewal, the award will increase by $1,000. Financial need will be considered, and applicants must have a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).

The Church Mutual Religious Scholars Program, established by CM CARES, is offering 50 scholarships of $5,000 each to the religious leaders of tomorrow, totaling $250,000 to assist students pursuing an advanced degree in religious studies.

To apply, students must be enrolled in a full-time, advanced degree religious studies program at an accredited theological seminary, college or university of higher learning in the United States for the entire 2021-22 academic year. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent), and must demonstrate personal impact through their education, work experiences, and volunteerism.

In addition, applicants must be committed to entering the practice of full-time ministry in the United States following completion of studies — including leading a denominational congregation, or worship group, or serving in religious leadership at a house of worship. Religious students of all denominations are encouraged to apply.

Up to fifty (50) awards will be granted; awards are one-time only and not renewable.
