This Week in the Thompson Report: The Candidate Who’s Already Done the Work
While others are still making promises about utility costs and environmental protection, Antoine Thompson has been delivering results for over a decade.
As Chair of the New York State Senate Environmental Conservation Committee, Antoine authored and passed legislation, including the Green Jobs/Green New York Law, that directly linked clean energy investment to lower energy costs for everyday families. He fought to defend the Environmental Protection Fund when budget hawks tried to gut it, standing alongside conservation groups and business owners to protect resources that serve communities like ours.
Today, as Executive Director of the Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition, a DOE-designated partnership serving Prince George’s County and the broader DMV, he is on the front lines of advancing affordable alternative fuels, clean transportation infrastructure, and energy-saving technologies that reduce what residents pay at the pump and on their utility bills.
The connection is clear: a cleaner environment and lower costs aren’t competing priorities. In Antoine’s hands, they never have been. That’s the difference between a candidate who talks about change and one who has already made it happen.
Inside this edition: what Antoine’s environmental agenda means for District 25, and why your utility bill depends on who represents you in Annapolis.
